Squali Lecur Oil is not vegan. Also known as Shark Liver Oil, it is obtained from the liver of slaughtered sharks. It was traditionally used as a folk remedy for several ailments and is now used in supplements though its efficacy is unproven. A Japanese study found some Squali Lecur Oil was contaminated with PCB’s and PBE’s which can be harmful to humans.
