Hydrogenated Shark Liver Oil is not vegan. It is obtained from the liver of slaughtered sharks. Hydrogenated Shark Liver Oil is used in cosmetics as an emollient and skin conditioner. A Japanese study found some shark liver oil was contaminated with PCB’s and PBE’s which can be harmful to humans.
